Description: LUSTER Silicoat Emulsion is a water-borne, high-grade ready mixed fine textured paint providing a flat decorative finish and designed for tropical weather conditions.
Area of use: It is recommended for both interior and exterior of buildings. It is suitable for painting building structures exposed to industrial atmospheric pollutions and in coastal/salty conditions. As a result of its outstanding properties the product can be applied on new and old surfaces.
Substrates: Concrete (including lightweight concrete), cement rendering,
Asbestos cement panels, masonry, gypsum finish plaster, plaster board, dry lining, wood and previously painted surfaces.

Characteristics:
LUSTER REALITY TEXTURED is a long life decorative paint. Its composition principally consists of synthetic resin, carefully selected graded aggregates, light-fast pigments and a protective biocide, to give a long lasting coating on painted surfaces.
The product’s characteristics include:
- Excellent adhesion to virgin wall as well as painted wall.
- Very good weathering resistance.
- Non-fading.
- Resistance against algal and fungal growth.
- Ease of application.
- Fast drying.
- Easy recoatable.
- High opacity
Physical constants:
Specific gravity 1.35 – 1.40 g/cm3
Theoretical spreading rate: 50 – 60 m2 / 20 litres at two coats of finished work
depending on the absorbency of the substrate.*
Finish: Flat.
Colour range:
More than fifty different colours including white, pastel and
deep shades are available. Check LUSTER Colour chart. The product can also be provided in customized shades.
* A practical spreading rate will depend on the nature of the substrate and the relevant conversion factor.
Application Details:
Surface Preparation: Surface to be painted must be stable, clean, dry and firm. Remove dirt, oil and greasy materials, dust, all loose and flaky parts, old and weak paint film and any other surface contaminants by suitable mechanical and or chemical means.
Paint application: Apply two coats of LUSTER Silicoat emulsion paint by roller to the desire surface allowing a minimum of one hour interval between coats.
Flash point: Non-flammable
Drying time 2 – 3 hours
Overcoating time: 3 hour @ 25oC.
Application method: Roller or Spray.
Thinner: If required thin with not more than 5% fresh water.
Cleaning of tools: Clean immediately after use with Fresh water.
Packaging: 20 liters plastic container
Storage: Store in cool, dry conditions. Containers that are opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage.
Disposal: Dispose off all used cans according to local and state
applicable regulations.
Safety Instructions: Handle with care. Before and during use, consult the product
Safety data sheet and follow all the safety regulations. Avoid inhalation, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and do not swallow. Apply only in well ventilated areas.
